Super cool -- I had a few fifth graders make book trailers in under 30 minutes, and they look so professional! SW

"A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate pages and leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). Share a VoiceThread with friends, students, and colleagues for them to record comments too. http://voicethread.com/?#q.b409.i848804
Users can doodle while commenting, use multiple identities, and pick which comments are shown through moderation. VoiceThreads can even be embedded to show and receive comments on other websites and exported to MP3 players or DVDs to play as archival movies."
*I believe there is an EDU version for this one as well. It's EASY-- I had kindergartners use it last year!

*I've been using this tool for a year and it's awesome for screen captures. The only bad experience I had was in trying to capture video of a Skype session -- the sound was good but the video was *extremely* choppy. -SW

This tool was mentioned at ISTE last year but I didn't try it until it was brought up at TIE last week. It's very similar to Wordle, but turns the word pictures into shapes, and saving is so much easier than Wordle! -SW

Most of you probably already know this one, but I just downloaded it and it's super easy to use. Not quite as flashy as the Mac program, but still pretty good.

Best hoak website I've seen in awhile. Open it up and see how long it takes the kids to realize that everything in there is malarkey! I plan to tie info literacy skills in with the 5th grade Explorers unit with this one! Includes lesson plans, as well.
